Arsenal great Seaman: Man City keeper Hart is England number one by quite a way

Arsenal legend David Seaman has stated that Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart does not have to worry about his number one spot for the England national team coming under threat.

Hart has been the undisputed number one goalkeeper for the England national team for a number of years now but with the likes of Fraser Forster and Jack Butland also performing brilliantly for their respective clubs this season; it was believed that the City star could find his place for the Three Lions under threat.

However, Seaman does not feel that Hart has to worry too much regarding his place in the England national team as he is still a long way above the likes of Southampton's Forster and Stoke City's Butland in the pecking order.

Seaman told talkSPORT's Drive Time: "Even if you are Joe Hart, I am sure he is happy with what is happening with Fraser Forster and Jack Butland's been brilliant [too].

"But Joe is still a long, long way above everybody because he is playing in big games all the time – Champions League games, every Man City [fixture] – they are normally near the top and he is still doing his stuff for England. He is getting along with it quietly, but still producing quality."
