Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown suggests Arsene Wenger should think twice before going after Fulham's Dimitar Berbatov.
The Gunners are being heavily linked with a £2million move for the former Tottenham and Manchester United striker but Keown believes he will only be a short-term solution as Wenger goes after the Premier League title.
"If Wenger brings somebody in, he has to be better than what's already there. People talk about a quick fix with Dimitar Berbatov," Keown wrote in a Q&A in the Daily Mail.
"He's a great talent, and has great vision but I don't think he'd compete in the air as well as (Olivier) Giroud. But you want a striker that puts the fear of God into the opposition, and you have to ask where that player is."
