Arsenal winger Theo Walcott enjoyed a surprise (sort of!) birthday party for his 21st last week.

A private party held for the England and Arsenal star was supposed to be a surprise until a team-mate spilled the beans.

Walcott told The Sun: "I've been in the limelight since I was 17 so, to be fair, it has gone very quickly. That always put more pressure on me. But it's nice to reach 21 and I've certainly had a lively week.

"My bash on Sunday was a night to remember. It was meant to be a surprise but Armand Traore leaked it out. It was funny. He was having his hair cut a few days before and said 'See you Sunday, Theo.'

"A few players came which was nice and I had some nice presents.

"Mum always said what does she get a footballer who can have anything? But I am a very grateful person. I'll have anything.

"I don't have to go to Boots for a very long time. I've got lots of fragrances, shower gel, shampoo - even though I don't have any hair.

"I got a nice bracelet from my girlfriend Mel, a Shambhala. She also got me some dragon goblets, as I love dragons. I got an alarm clock, as I am lazy - and a bird feeder."
