Arsenal fullback Sagna forced himself to forget World Cup flop

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna admits he's had to force himself to forget France's World Cup horror show.

Like his compatriots Sagna had a summer to forget so has he managed to get over Les Bleus' poor showing in South Africa?

"Yes, I have had to," he replied.

"I'm looking forward to improving and having a good season and I can't keep that [the World Cup] in my mind if I want to stay focused.

"I think it's totally different now [for the French players]. You play every day with the same players at club level and you want to give everything. We played really badly, that's it. There's nothing to hide. Now we have to look forward."
