Arsenal fullback Nacho Monreal admits he had little chance to say goodbye to his Malaga teammates and fans last week.

Monreal joined the Gunners on deadline day and made his debut 48 hours later.

"It was very fast and I had no chance to say goodbye to the fans, teammates and you (journalists). People treated me very well, I've noticed a lot of care, and could not leave without saying goodbye.

"Best wishes to Malaga, which is in my heart and where I leave great friends," he said.
