Arsenal fullback Carl Jenkinson is determined to play his way back into the England squad.

Jenkinson has been overlooked for this week's World Cup qualifiers.

"I want to get back into the England squad and I'm fighting to do that," Jenkinson told Arsenal.com.

"I've just got to be doing it week-in, week-out for Arsenal, I've got to be putting in good, consistent performances and hopefully that will catch the manager's eye.

"I'll be aiming to do that and hopefully if I do that a call-up will come my way."
