Arsenal fullback Clichy always knew Bendtner would come good
Gael Clichy insists he never doubted Arsenal teammate Nicklas Bendtner would come good.
The cocky Dane struck a hat-trick in Arsenal's 5-0 Champions League win over Porto this week.
Full-back Clichy said: "That says everything for the character of Nicklas.
"Sometimes people can feel he is a bit arrogant and he is a bit careless about the result and what he is doing on the pitch.
"But he is a great guy and certainly not missing any confidence about himself."
Clichy added: "If something is wrong today, it will be better tomorrow and that is his philosophy of life."
