Arsenal fullback Bellerin: Watford spell so good for me

Arsenal fullback Hector Bellerin is proud of his breakthrough in 2014.

The teenager has featured seven times for Arsenal's first team during 2014/15, and created Olivier Giroud's second goal in the 4-1 victory over Newcastle earlier this month.

"It's been the best season of my career," he told Arsenal Player. "I had a really good spell at the beginning at Watford and that was a good start to the year.

"From the beginning of this year, I've been with the first team and being involved in the games that I have played in has been the highlight for me. The trust I've been getting and the minutes I've been playing, plus just being around the first team has been the highlight of it.

"It wasn't a really long period [at Watford], but it was really intense and we had a lot of games.

"I learnt a lot in those two months. I started playing with really good players there as well. I had Gianfranco Zola as a coach, which helped me a lot. To get the trust from people like him was really important from him. It was a really positive loan for me."
