Arsenal forward Podolski to speak with Inter Milan

Lukas Podolski has travelled to Italy to speak with Inter Milan according to reports.

The Arsenal striker is the subject of heavy interest from the Nerazzurri who are believed to have made an improved offer on their initial proposal for a loan.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger branded the first offer as 'farcical' but Sky Sports suggest that Inter are willing to up the ante in order to land the Germany international, who was part of the squad that won the 2014 World Cup, on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Daily Mail reports that the loan would cost Inter around £1.5million and if successful, they could land him permanently in the summer as Podolski's contract at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire at the end of the season.

Podolski joined Arsenal from FC Cologne in the summer of 2012 and has scored 31 goals in 82 appearances for the north London club.
