Arsenal forward Lacazette opens up about 'rollercoaster' debut: It was too early to celebrate!

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has explained how his debut was a turbulent experience.

The Frenchman, who joined the Gunners from Lyon this summer, scored after just two minutes in his Premier League debut.

However, Arsenal's opponents, Leicester City, came back into the match, leading 3-2 with eight minutes to go, before goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud gave the Gunners all three points.

"It was a rollercoaster ride but it went well," Lacazette told the club's website.

"We let in some goals we could have avoided but we'll work to ensure we don't concede any more like that during the season. Fortunately we ended the game on a high.

"It was perhaps too early to celebrate [when I scored] because we didn't know how the match was going to pan out."
