Arsenal forward Aubameyang withdraws from Gabon friendly

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not take part in Gabon's friendly with Zambia on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old, along with Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, have returned to their respective clubs.

The Federation of Gabonese Football confirmed the news but did not state the reason for their departures.

"Gabon coach Antonio Camacho will also have to work without some key players including Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Lemina. They have been made available to their respective clubs, and Serge Martinsson Ngouali was injured in the knee at training," Fegafoot said in a statement.
