Arsenal have lightened their wage bill with the release of three senior players.

The Telegraph says Arsenal have further boosted their financial firepower in the transfer window by freeing up around £10 million from their annual wage bill after Andrei Arshavin, Denilson and Sebastien Squillaci finally ran down their contracts and were allowed to leave for nothing.

Marouane Chamakh, Nicklas Bendtner and Johan Djourou are others who Arsenal would surely hope to lose from their wage bill this summer.
