Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Nice goalkeeper David Ospina.
The Daily Star Sunday says Arsenal are understood to be close to a £3m deal for the Colombia shot stopper.
Reports in France claim Nice and The Gunners have hammered out a deal and things could now move along quickly.
Wenger hopes Ospina can provide competition for the no.1 spot with current top choice Wojciech Szczesny.
Arsenal have an advantage in negotiations as Ospina only has 12 months to run on his current deal with the French club and is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
