Arsenal fear Nasri and Clichy will depart

Arsenal are reportedly very worried that Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy will leave the club this summer.

The French duo have emerged as strong transfer targets for Manchester United and Liverpool respectively and word out of North London is that Gunners officials fear the pair will depart.

After a sixth season without a trophy, Arsene Wenger was hoping to strengthen his squad but it looks as though he is going to have to work overtime to bring in some quality as it now appears that three of his starting eleven may be gone by next season.

Captain Cesc Fabregas is closing in on a return to Barcelona whilst Nasri is looking to join the Red Devils, where he is every chance of walking into a trophy next season.

Clichy, who has a year remaining on his deal just like Nasri, has hinted at a Arsenal exit in recent times and with the Reds set to swoop he could also be a distant memory for Gunners fans come the 2011/12 season.
