Arsenal fans are free to do as they please with their season tickets – Wenger

Arsene Wenger has stated that season ticket holders at the Emirates Stadium are free not to attend matches if they so desire.

Arsenal fans have been left fed up with another poor season and it is expected that a large number of season ticket holders will not attend the encounter against West Bromwich Albion on Thursday night as a demonstration of their unhappiness.

Manager Wenger has been made aware regarding the planned protest but has stated that the fans are free to do whatever they want with their season tickets.

The 66-year-old said: "Everybody is free to do what he wants with his season ticket.

"It's a Thursday night, which is an unusual day for a game, and we have just had a disappointing result at home, so maybe that will play a part.

"I am not here to judge our fans but we have to respect our values and hopefully the supporters share them.

"I just want to make sure that everyone who loves this club is happy. If I had the power to do it, believe me, I would. But I don't."
