Arsenal failed with move for Stoke keeper Sorensen

Arsenal failed with a late bid for Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen last week.

The Sunday Telegraph says Arsène Wenger has admitted he has a goalkeeping problem at Arsenal, having lost confidence in Manuel Almunia but having failed to sign Sorensen from Stoke City on deadline day.

Wenger echoed the concerns of supporters that Almunia is short on form and confidence, saying the Spaniard is struggling to cope with the pressure of a "terrible job."Asmir Begovic from Portsmouth, but Arsenal were unable to complete a deal to sign him.
