Arsenal face a bidding war with Real Madrid for wantaway Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

The Daily Star says the Gunners made a £30m offer for the hit-man last week but their approach was immediately turned down.

Now Madrid are willing to offer up to £40m for Suarez.

It means Arsenal will have to at least match it if they are serious on bringing Suarez to the Emirates.
