Arsenal must beat some of Europe's biggest clubs if they wish to land Porto wing-back Miguel Layun.
The Mexican spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla but the La Liga side are yet to take up their option to buy Layun for £5million, says AS.
That has alerted Arsenal, as well as AC Milan and Marseille, who are ready to pounce if Sevilla do not make the deal permanent,.
Layun, who is part of Mexico's squad at this summer's World Cup in Russia, made 18 appearances in La Liga last season.
The 29-year-old, who had a stint with Watford, can also play on either flank as a full-back and as a defensive midfielder.
