Arsenal face stiff competition from Barcelona for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Afellay.
Arsenal have been admirers for some time and after making a £7.5m offer last summer believe they can get their man for free when his contract expires in June.
But Barca are attempting to get in first by offering the 24-year-old a deal at the Nou Camp and Wenger will not be pleased to hear Afellay's latest comments.
Afellay told Sport: "I know nothing. I only know what I read in the newspapers online, but I still don't know what my future holds because there are many options. But I think there have been contacts between Barcelona and PSV.
"[Barcelona] is a fantastic club, a club that everybody knows, a team that plays very attractive football and that is the greatest out there. But I insist that I know nothing yet about my future. All I can do is continue training as usual and playing the best I know with my team, which is still PSV."
