Premier League clubs could yet face having to pay a fee for wantaway Sporting CP winger Gelson Martins.

Corriere dello Sport says Arsenal target Gelson wants his next club to cover any fee Sporting could demand for him breaking his contract.

The 23-year-old cited “just cause" after he and other Sporting staff were attacked by fans.

Gelson is aware Sporting might be awarded damages if the case goes to court though.

And they claim he is therefore demanding his next club cover the cost of compensating Sporting if that transpires.

While Arsenal are admirers of the winger, Lazio and Benfica are ready to provide them competition.
