Arsenal face stiff competition from Borussia Dortmund for Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi.Arsenal are regarded as favourites for the youngster, with talk of a £7 million deal being negotiated between the two clubs last week.
However, BVB are now joining the scramble, as they prepare to lose Robert Lewandowski. The Germans see Batshuayi as an ideal replacement for the Pole.
Batshuayi told Het Nieuws Laaste: "I have two favourite clubs in Europe. Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund. Borussia has the right mix of quality and team spirit. And Arsenal are young and talented players are always given a chance.
"I'm ready for the next big step and I do not think that I'll be playing next season in Belgium."
