Arsenal chiefs are stepping up their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

Calciomercato.com says AC Milan have joined Arsenal in the race for Ceballos.

The Italian giants are poised to make a move for the player, who has played just 186 minutes in La Liga so far this term.

Arsenal were linked to Ceballos earlier this week and the 21-year-old is reportedly looking for a move away in order to secure more first-team football.

He moved to the Bernabeu from Real Betis this summer but has struggled to establish himself in the Los Blancos side.
