Arsenal are chasing West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker.
The Sunday Mirror says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has revealed a switch in policy from signing potential stars to established professionals - and Parker fits the bill.
Wenger's signings will start when, in the next two weeks, he announces the arrival of Marouane Chamakh on a free from Bordeaux after he failed to agree a £10m deal for the striker with the French club last July.
