Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to boost his midfield this month.
The Mirror says Wenger is set to go back with an improved offer for Newcastle's £20million-rated midfielder Yohan Cabaye after their initial bid was rejected.
The Gunners are also looking at Real Madrid's Germany international Mesut Ozil and Sevilla's France international Geoffrey Kondogbia.
