Rumours of fresh transfer interest in Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil have been dismissed.

Ozil has been linked with Fenerbahce and Manchester United this week.

However, Turkish sources have dismissed the claims, insisting the speculation has been sparked "by English rumour mongering".

Fener, where former Tottenham and Liverpool chief Damien Comolli is in charge, have made no attempt to contact Ozil about a move to Istanbul in the New Year.

United, meanwhile, are also not in touch.
