Arsenal are in talks with Valencia for midfielder Dani Parejo.

The Daily Mail says Gunners representatives were in Spain on Thursday and Friday to meet the 22-year-old's agent.

Parejo is a graduate of Real Madrid's academy and also had a spell at Queens Park Rangers three years ago before joining Valencia this summer. But Parejo is yet to feature for his new club and he is agitating for a return to England.

A fee of about £7million would be enough to capture the central midfielder - part of Spain's Under 21 European Championship-winning team. Parejo wants games to win a place at London 2012.
