Arsenal have entered formal talks with Barcelona striker David Villa according to Goal.com.
The Spaniard is a major target for the Gunners with the North London club sending contract negotiator Dicky Law to Barcelona to discuss a transfer fee.
Arsenal's bid for Villa was rejected by Barcelona earlier this month but it is believed that the Catalan giants have relaxed their position on a potential sale, especially as the 31-year old is keen to join the Premier League club.
The report also suggests that Villa will earn £110,000-a-week for a fee of £13.8million if a deal does happen to go ahead.
