Arsenal are emerging as a major candidate to land Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno this summer.
BILD says Arsenal have missed the deadline to trigger his €20m buyout clause, which expired at the end of April, but remain interested in the Germany international.
The 26 year-old, tied to Bayer until 2020, is seen at Arsenal as an eventual successor for Petr Cech, 35.
Napoli were also interested in Leno, but his agent has since declared negotiations with Napoli have been broken off.
Uli Ferber said: "I can confirm that there were negotiations with Napoli, which we canceled. Napoli is not an option."
