A brace from Cesc Fabregas and Carlos Vela helped Arsenal to a 6-0 win over Braga at the Emirates Stadium. There will be stiffer challenges ahead but Arsenal made the most of their superiority over a poor Portuguese side by scoring three goals in each half.
The rout began after seven minutes with Fabregas scoring from the penalty spot after a foul on Marouane Chamakh.
Fabregas then set up Andrey Arshavin to double the scoreline and a third duly arrived courtesy of Marouane Chamakh.
The dismantling continued after the break.
Fabregas headed in to make it 4-0 and substitute Carlos Vela scored twice to wrap things up.
Wenger's side are chasing an 11th successive place in the last 16 of the competition and on this evidence there is little to suggest they will fail to make it beyond the group stage.
