Arsenal are stepping up their bid for Velez Sarsfield midfielder Ricky Alvarez.
The Argentine has been likened to Real Madrid star Kaka and has been in talks with the Gunners for some weeks.
Ole says Arsenal had scouts posted three weeks ago to see Alvarez in league action and they tabled a €15 million bid for the midfielder.
Talks over personal terms have dragged on and Alvarez's agent, Marcelo Simonian, is due for a new round of meetings with Arsenal reps next week.
