Arsenal drop Lemar to focus on PSG winger Lucas Moura

Arsenal are ready to go for PSG winger Lucas Moura in January.

TMW says Arsenal see Lucas as an alternative to Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.

Lucas is expected to be sold by PSG as he slips down the midfield pecking order.

PSG are also under pressure to offload players to meet Financial Fair Play regulations.

Unai Emery's team offloaded Serge Aurier and Blaise Matuidi to Tottenham and Juventus respectively but further squad trimming is needed.

Meanwhile, former PSG and Chelsea defender Alex thinks Moura would a perfect fit for Arsene Wenger's side.

The 35-year-old told L'Equipe: "If I was in his place, I would have already left to make an impact elsewhere.

"Spanish football could suit him – he could take advantage of the space with his speed and technique.

"Even if England does not seem favourable, I would like to see him at Arsenal. They play cleaner football, more technical."
