Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen is upbeat over his progress from Achilles injury.
After losing fellow defender Bacary Sagna for three months to a broken leg sustained in Sunday's crushing north London derby defeat, manager Arsene Wenger has received a Twitter fillip from Vermaelen.
The 25-year-old Tweeted: "Great step forward today. First run outside without any pain or discomfort. Hopefully I can make good progress this week."
