Brighton have failed with a loan bid for Arsenal defender Sebastien Squillaci.
The French defender, a disaster since arriving from Seville in 2010, wants a move to a club back home.
Squillaci has played only once this season - in December's 2-1 defeat by Olympiakos in the Champions League.
