Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal is confident being fit for their Carabao Cup semifinal second-leg clash with Chelsea.

Monreal was a fitness doubt after limping off 34 minutes into Saturday's 4-1 win over Crystal Palace, in which he scored one and provided two assists, with what Arsene Wenger subsequently confirmed was a “kick on the back of his hamstring".

However in a post on social media Monreal appeared to allay those concerns, writing on Twitter that he had enjoyed a “speedy recovery", adding it was “time for the semi-finals".

Monreal also joined the rest of Wenger's first team in their final training session before the game.
