Per Mertesacker was always confident of finding his feet at Arsenal.

After a difficult start to life in the Premier League, Mertesacker is now a key member of the Arsenal team who will take on Everton at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

He told the Telegraph: "I always had faith that I had the qualities to be a regular in a Premier League team.

"It was a hard fight but at the end I'm really proud."
