Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel is reluctant to leave on-loan this season.
Miquel has yet to sit down with Arsène Wenger and discuss his plans for the season ahead but wants to work hard for further opportunities.
"Obviously, I would like to play for the first-team but I know it is hard and I know I will have to work for it," he told arsenal.com. "Right now, I am going to fight for anything.
"I think I just need to keep working and getting stronger because English football is all about being strong. So I think I need to keep working on my football and getting a bit bigger.
"I have only been [back in England] for a week so let's see how things are. I have to wait for a bit and then see what is happening with me.
"Hopefully I will stay and I hope I get more chances. But I'm not sure what is happening so, right now, I just have to work 100 per cent."
