Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has undergone successful surgery.

Gibbs has undergone surgery on his groin and will be out for a month.

Gibbs, 22, has been sidelined since October after having a hernia removed.

It had been hoped he would be back for this week's game against Aston Villa but the England full-back suffered a setback and a specialist recommended another operation.
