Arsenal defender William Gallas insists manager Arsene Wenger is not to blame for his latest injury.
Gallas was carrying a calf injury when he played in Arsenal's Champions League quarter-final first-leg with Barcelona.
The gamble did not pay off for the Gunners or Gallas as he was forced off just before half-time, and he was ruled out for the rest of the season.
But Gallas is confident he will be on the plane to South Africa with the French squad.
The 32-year-old also refuses to blame Arsenal for the injury, as he insists he wanted to play against Barca.
"I want to play in that match, because I am a competitor," he told CanalPlus. "I want to play against the best players and I had an agreement from the medical staff and fitness coach.
"Now my objective is not to suffer any relapse and I am confident.
"If you are not confident, you can forget about the World Cup."
