Arsenal defender Debuchy has spoken with Sunderland and Aston Villa

Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy has spoken with both Sunderland and Aston Villa regarding a possible loan move, according to the Daily Mirror.

The France international has fallen behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order at Arsenal and as a result, has barely featured for the Gunners this season.

Debuchy is desperate for a move away from the Emirates Stadium as he wants regular playing time ahead of Euro2016 as he strives to stay in France boss Didier Deschamps' plans.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has allowed the 30-year-old to leave on a loan move, and the player has a decision to make regarding his destination in the coming week.

Villa boss Remi Garde remains confident of landing the former Newcastle United man due to the French connection between the pair.

It is believed that West Ham United have also joined the race after losing Gunners loanee Carl Jenkinson for the rest of the season to a knee injury.
