Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley hopes to return to Sheffield United next season.

The 18-year-old is due to leave the Blades following Sunday's final match of the season at Ipswich.

But he told The Star: "I'm going back to Arsenal next week to carry on with my training. I will then sit down with the gaffer (Arsene Wenger) and see what he has to say and what his plans are for next year.

"I definitely think there is a possibility of me coming back (to United) next year; I would be more than happy to do that. If it was a season-long loan, I think it will be good for my development."
