Samuel Chukwueze could join FC Porto despite recently passing a medical with Arsenal.
The 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder was all set to join the Gunners after it emerged that the North London club had offered him a contract, but it appears as though that deal has now fallen over after they were unable to come to an agreement with the Diamond Academy.
AllNigeriaSoccer claims that Chukwueze, who is also a target for French club Monaco, could now make a summer move to Portugal with Diamond Academy president Martin Apugo confirming to the website that a move to Porto was on the cards.
"Chukwueze is going to FC Porto not Monaco. They are waiting for him to sign the papers but he couldn't travel because he is with the Flying Eagles (Nigeria U20 team)," Apugo said.
"We don't know the length of contract he will sign until we get to Portugal."
Chukwueze admitted that he was unsure where he would be moving but was confident something would happen soon.
"I don't know yet where I will sign but my people are working on it," he said, according to www.today.ng.
