Arsenal crock Frimpong determined to fight back

Arsenal crock Emmanuel Frimpong is determined to bounce back from knee injury.

The midfielder broke down while impressing on-loan at Wolves.

Speaking in Sunday's Official Arsenal Matchday programme, Frimpong said: "All I can remember is that [QPR midfielder] Joey Barton got the ball and was looking to switch play - I went to block him from doing that and my feet just got stuck, twisting my leg.

"The Doctor told me I'd done my cruciate and obviously I was devastated, but I've had this injury before and come back to play football so I'm sure things will be fine.

"When it happened the first time around I was more angry and upset than this time for some reason. From the first day, I accepted that I'll be out for quite a long time and that I'm going to have to get on with it. For now it's all about getting the swelling down and trying to make things more comfortable.

"I don't have any targets in mind for a comeback - when it gets closer, perhaps when I start jogging, then maybe I'll do that but at the moment I know that I'm in for a long, long journey and have to be patient."
