Arsenal concerned for Ramsey as Mertesacker, Gabriel fears allayed

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he is worried about Aaron Ramsey after he was forced off in the FA Cup win over Hull City on Tuesday.

The Welsh midfielder was replaced by youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide in the 73rd minute of the Gunners' 4-0 victory in the fifth round replay, making it three injuries on the night for the North Londoners.

Centre-back pairing Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista also succumbed to problems earlier in the night but Wenger is not too anxious about them, rather the injury sustained by Ramsey.

"It was a shock as we lost our two centre-backs in the game and then we lost Aaron Ramsey," he told BT Sport 1.

"Mertesacker is not serious, just a little concussion, and I think Gabriel looks all right but for Ramsey I am little bit more concerned.

"It's a thigh injury... but apart from that we have played well."

Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott both scored braces as Arsenal progressed to the quarter-finals where they will meet Watford at home on Sunday.
