Arsenal reserves coach Neil Banfield was happy to play Mikael Silvestre in last night's 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
Banfield told arsenal.com: "I think Mikael enjoys the game. He has just said 'well played' in there and for the young players to play alongside him, it's invaluable. Things get passed on which are not said on the training ground.
"[When they play together] young players can learn about the fineries of the game from senior players, so hopefully the likes of Kyle Bartley will have learned something tonight. Mikael doesn't even need to say something, you can pick things up just by seeing his position and the lines he takes."
