Arsenal are ready to close a deal for Atletico Mineiro midfielder Bernard. One of Bernard's agents, Giuliano Bertolucci, is this week in London for talks with Arsenal over the youngster's move to the Emirates, says Sport.

Atletico have announced they expect to sell Bernard, who was watched in the Copa Libertadores final last week by Gunners scout Everton Gushiken.

Interestingly, Bertolucci has close ties to several Premier League clubs, with clients David Luiz and Lucas Piazon at Chelsea and Tottenham having just signed Paulinho from Corinthians.
