Arsenal have agreed a deal for young defender Luis Gustavo Conte, of Sao Paulo's Mirassol.

Conte and teammate Wellington, who has also been watched by Manchester United, had recent trials with Arsenal.

The young centre-half is the Brazil U16 captain and is expected to remain with Mirassol until he is 18 ahead of moving to Arsenal.

Young Guns reports that Arsenal's South American scout, Sandro Orlandelli, was key to signing highly-rated Conte.
