Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and new chief scout Sven Mislintat are at odds over a makeweight from Manchester United in the Alexis Sanchez deal.

Arsenal are keen on getting a player in return from the Manchester giants.

The Daily Star says Wenger is a huge fan of Anthony Martial and wants the Frenchman bundled into any deal that takes Sanchez north.

However the club's new head of scouting Mislintat wants Henrikh Mkhitaryan instead.

Mislintat signed the Armenian while at Borussia Dortmund and wants a reunion in north London.

Landing Mkhitaryan is likely to prove easier for Arsenal.
