Millwall midfielder Liam Trotter is being watched by Arsenal.

The Daily Mail says chief scout Steve Rowley attended Millwall's 2-1 win over Derby at the Den to cast his eye over Trotter and Derby youngster Will Hughes.

Gunners spies have kept close tabs on Lions' box-to-box midfielder Trotter from the start of last season, with his performances this term earning rave reviews.

Rams midfielder Hughes, 17, has been hailed as a future England international and has made 15 starts for Nigel Clough's side this season as well as breaking into Stuart Pearce's Under-21 set-up.
