Arsenal are eyeing Valencia duo Jose Luis Gaya and Joao Pereira.
The Daily Star says sources in Spain suggest Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bring the pair to the Emirates Stadium this month as he bids to strengthen his defensive options for the end of season push to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Left-back Gaya, 19, has a release clause in his Valencia contract worth £15m.
Right-back Pereira, 30, is out of contract at the end of the season but the Gunners hope to pick him for free now.
The 40-cap Portugal international has made no appearances for Los Che this campaign and manager Nuno Espirito Santo is likely to sell after freezing him out.
