Arsenal are ready to bid in January for Sochaux midfielder Ryad Boudebouz.

L'Equipe says Arsenal and Lyon are battling for the exciting 18 year-old prospect, whose current deal expires in June.

New contract talks between the two parties have stalled and all signs are that Sochaux will seek to sell during the winter market.

Arsenal and Lyon lead the race for Boudebouz's signature, with the youngster revealing Liverpool talks over summer: "Liverpool are a big club and there has been contact. But I have to take my time, see the [Sochaux] president, discuss things through."
